Our vision of how we think the tractor is going to be in 2040

After researching from different sources on the evolution of society and agriculture, we can to say how the agriculture is going to evolve in the following years, the agriculture that we had in the past and how it’s moving towards a more efficient and innovative future.

We live in a world that depends on highly polluting fossil fuels of which little by little we must detach ourselves from to stop climate change. To reduce pollutant emissions, biomass and biofuels take major importance for the energy sector, ( it is estimated that for 2050 until 27% of the fuels for transport a world level will can to came of biofuels in front of 3% current).

Focusing more on the technological evolution of agriculture machinery and the evolution of engineering, big data, etc, the development team thinks in a tractor concept as an autonomous entity, with its own intelligence and completely independent. A machine that is able to scan any field and adapt to any situation or circumstance. It will use its capabilities in a smart way, improving its agility and increasing its speed, following the path of our society, pursuing efficiency and productivity.

In our concept, this autonomy and its control don’t come to form a traditional tractor cockpit. We have developed an independent command center where farmers could drive tractors interconnected between them and within the command center, be able to take the most of every field.

For the development of the tractor concept in the year 2040, in the first place, we must think about the agricultural sector evolution in the next years, as it means where it must give solutions for the problems and challenges that the future presented.

We deal with a future in the wich the world population continue to grow and move to urban areas. In the rural areas with a less population and a less workforce, will be increased quantitatively and qualitatively the agricultural production.

Of this future increase, the part most important will come to higher yields and crop intensification in an 80%, the rest for the increase of growing areas.

All these factors mark the global trends that agriculture will have in 2040.
